Shows Report: Wanna Hang Out and Talk Fishing?

Our chapter has three major shows that we attend and present at during the year, The Erie County Fair in August, The WNY Sports and Outdoor Show at The Fairgrounds in March and the Greater Niagara Fishing and Outdoor Expo in Niagara Falls in February.

Outdoor shows are critical to our mission as they enable us to get in front of the non-member public, publicize our programs and successes, catch up with friends, swap stories and sell member-tied flies, which is a successful fund raiser for us.

Our Shows Chair Brian Barrey does a herculean job at each and every show setting up, scheduling staffing and more often than not, working the majority of the shifts. Our active membership is getting older and we really need more assistance in the coming year staffing shows. Any shift worked includes free admission to the event. The Greater Niagara Fishing and Outdoor Expo is scheduled for February 16-19, 2023 and we could really use some assistance with the table. Many of our members will be presenting at the event and there is really going to be a focus on fly fishing. As we get closer to the show Brian will be putting together how many shifts we need to fill over the four days.
