Veteran's Fly Fishing Event Recap

A Veterans Fishing Event was held on Saturday, July 15th at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge. Groups from the Fish & Wildlife Service, the local DEC officers, the Volunteers of America (VOA) and the local group that assists veterans with finding housing were represented. We had the Project Healing Waters trailer on-site and distributed information on Project Healing Waters, tied some flies - including hot pink wooly worms (Barbie Fly), and did some fly fishing. Thanks to all the great folks who made this event happen and thanks to WNYTU VP and Project Healing Waters Head Ken Kinecki for representing both the chapter and PHW!
