Time To Report Those Volunteer Hours!

Hello everyone,  It’s that time of year again.  Each spring TU asks that each chapter fill out an “annual financial report”, which includes the number of volunteer hours put in by chapter members over the course of TU’s fiscal year.  That started last April 1st and ended this March 31st.

Chuck Godfrey compiles this info for our report. We have a link for reporting hours available on our website.  If you’ve been entering them there, Chuck will extract them and report them.  This is really important to TU as TU National uses volunteer hours to justify grant applications, etc.  If you haven’t entered them on the website, please forward numbers of hours on TU business to Chuck by April 30th, as the report is due to National by may 15th.

If your activity was as a member of some organized activity, the person in charge of the activity will be reporting the numbers.  If the activity included driving to an event, TU counts driving time as part of the activity, so please remember to include it.  If you helped on a stream shocking with the DEC, Scott has already forwarded the names and numbers, so you don’t have to report that.  Same thing for conservation projects.  Joe has those records.  If you attended a meeting representing the chapter (even virtually) for instance, that counts. It’s probably easiest to report hours and what you were doing to Chuck using email, steelheader03@hotmail.com, then he will have a record available. The numbers DON’T have to be exact.  You can just estimate, but please send them in.

Thanks,

Chuck Godfrey
